Materials needed:
- Stitched design
- Backing fabric
- Wadding
- Cardboard
- PVA glue
- Something heavy for weight
- Braid, pins and ribbon
Have your stitched design washed and pressed. Decide how much allowance you would like around the stitched part and pull a thread from each side and top and bottom. This will leave a gap in the fabric and will be used to line up when glueing. Then trim an allowance of 2inches all the way around.
Cut 2 squares of backing fabric the same size as your newly trimmed stitched square and 1 with an extra 3 inches at the top.
Cut your cardboard into 4 equal squares, measuring the same size as the square created on your stitched piece.
